Two wooden buttons sets are available in my shop for anyone who might be interested.
I'm still on the lookout for some beautiful branches to make a few more sets. Funnily enough, I've discovered feijoa has lovely wood. Kauri trees drop their lower branches as they grow, but even the branch wood has a 'heart' making it not a good candidate for buttons sadly.
