Tonight we heard an awful high pitched wailing noise and looked out the window to see three of the scariest looking cats in the neighborhood stalking a little green frog. It must have hopped up from the stream at the end of the road during the evening's showers. We ran out and rescued it and put it inside for the night. It was there for the children to see at breakfast time.
After breakfast the next morning, I put in a call to the Auckland Zoo vets, who advised me to take it down to the stream edge and release it, which we did. Away it hopped back where it belonged.
