Today we went for a walk down to our local beach. We are lucky enough to live within 10 minutes walk of a nice (albeit located in the city) beach. The thing I love most about this beach is the view of Rangitoto you get whilst walking along the sand. In summer the beach is packed, but winter is another story altogether. 
Sofia sat down and explored the sand with her Daddy. She was fascinated. We played in the sand and with some small shells until it started to rain. This explains why us and the tourists were the only ones on the beach this day.
