Our delicious meaty Russian Heirloom Tomato "Black Krim". I really loved the colour as much as the taste. Shouldn't all food be good to look at as well as to eat?
A feast of the senses.

Sofia picked this basket of goodness. Yellow pear tomatoes, strawberries, eggs from our girls, basil, corn , zucchini, black krim tomatoes and red cherry tomatoes.
Purple Dragon Heirloom Carrots. Did you know carrots used to be purple and white!
Sofia enjoying the first corn from our garden in 2012.
Here are the first two Comice pears from our new tree. Apparently they were first cultivated in the mid-1800’s near Angers,
France. The formal name for this pear variety is Doyenne Du Comice. The tree is a double grafted tree with Red Bartlett being the other variety. Although this is yet to fruit. Perhaps in 2013.
We'll be growing plenty of legumes and cover crops to help with soil fertility over the Autumn to Spring period. We have some pretty terrible West Auckland clay to contend with, so we need to do whatever we can to help the condition of the soil.
