We found a shop today on our travels. We went back to the wonderful Kauri Gum Country Store & Cafe we went to couple of weekends ago out in Riverhead (Rodney District, Auckland). The food and service is worth the drive out there from home, believe me. Although we always buy a lot of fruit and veges from our favourite fruit and vege shop out there on the way home (the quality is better and it is so much fresher than anything we can buy in the city).
On the way home we happened upon a couple of little shops together in the middle of nowhere on the coatesville riverhead highway. One was a new age shop, where we got a gorgeous mistletoe fairy for Sofia's second Christmas. Every year we buy a new ornament for each person for the tree. It is a tradition that Shawn and I started and that will continue with Sofia. The aim is to have a wonderful tree with a bunch of eclectic ornaments with special meanings for us all.

Anyway, next to that shop there was a pretty amazing material shop. You could buy all sorts of gorgeous material for patch working. Or sewing if you could afford them. She has a lot of wonderful designer stuff and some great books too. If you are ever out that way... check it out. Otherwise, you can buy online.
Enjoy!
