Today Mum and I (and Sofia of course) went to a fabric store to find some lovely fabric to make a garland like the one that Soulemama has in her book The Creative Family. I want to make one for Sofia's 1st birthday. I found the grey fabric with the duck and ducklings on it first. I was looking for something not too girly as a starting point. I then found some reds, yellows and blues that fitted into the palette in the first print. I can't wait to start sewing it. It will have to wait until the weekend after next though...life is too busy for sewing with all the work and studies right now.
