Today Sofia was painting in a book that her Nanny had kept at her house for her. (Yes, we are staying at the beach this week) I took this photo because I was amazed at her watercolour painting. She chose lovely colours and painted in the picture so carefully with intense concentrate.
Sofia has started attending her local Rudolf Steiner Nursery (pre-Kindergarten class for 2 1/2 to 4 year olds). She loves her two teachers and adores having such a special place to go for two days a week. It is all hers and she doesn't have to share it with anyone (Sacha is always wanting to 'share' with her). Every morning after passing through the door into the beautiful and peaceful interior of her classroom she rushes to join in either bun making or the storytelling session without so much as a glance backwards. This Mama doesn't mind so much because she knows that means she loves it there. I feel so blessed that she has this very special place to call her own.
Sofia, you are a constant source of wonder and you make your Mama so very proud.
