There is a really sense of joy in our house on arrival of spring.
We spend the last part of winter planning our garden for the warmer months and ordering seeds. We have a tray of seedlings quietly doing their thing for us at the moment. I can't wait to plant them out.
The first day saw the budding of the neighbour's peach tree on our boundary, and also the laying of four beautiful eggs in a single day. Maybe the girls knew it was spring too?
There has been a seriously sad little guy in our house. Sacha has contracted a case of the measles and has been a little bit miserable and needing plenty of cuddles from everyone. We are still waiting for test results to see if we (Sofia, Shawn and I) are immune. I certainly hope so, otherwise we will need to be quarantined for three weeks!
So, quietly today we...
...made crowns from daisys growing in our front lawn
...baked a loaf of five grain bread
...transplanted another of our long kept potted plants into the ground to grow for us (we have done a few this week!)
...were so proud as a little brave girl had her first blood test and marveled over the dark colour her blood
...spent a lot of time snuggling up for much needed cuddles
...took Sofia's dolls in her 'car' to the rugby game : )
Stay well everyone.
