Rainbow in a jar

Today was a lovely day to be outside so we set up some arty fun in the sun. I had read that you can colour salt with chalk. Basically she did a colour at a time and we worked with the colours of the rainbow, because this little girl loves a good rainbow.

To make yourself a rainbow in a jar.
Get yourself a small jar and some coloured chalk and some salt.
You just roll the chalk and rub it a little into about a tablespoon of the salt and it will colour up quite quickly.
Then just pick up the paper and slide the salt into the jar (a small baby food jar would be a good size).

I put a small disc of paper in the top to stop the salt from shaking up too much and mixing the colours together.

Happy rainbows everyone!

Sofia loved the end result and wanted to make another one immediately. She gave it to her Nanny as a gift. Mum will be putting it in her Naturopathy clinic.
