Today we went to the Kauri Gum Cafe and Store in Riverhead again. We go there fairly frequently to buy Brazil beans which are the best beans in the country! We have a commercial coffee machine in our kitchen at home. You could say we are coffee snobs. I suppose there are certainly worse things to be in life. Anyway it is worth the half hour drive out of town fr these beans.
Their food is delicious too. Today we had a raspberry friand with yoghurt and a sticky date pudding with cream.
Sofia just wanted to eat their flowers. They did have a coating of icing sugar. If you are wondering about what is on her left cheek... it is a butterfly. Some nice girl at a Christmas party offered to paint it for her. She sat still just long enough.
